Our annual holiday party was held December 10, 2008 at the Grace Episcopal Church in Medford from 11 to 2 pm. A total of 98 people attended with three coming all the way from Mt. Morris Michigan. When they arrived it was like Santa's sleigh came with a load of gifts they crafted: a queen size quilt for TKC, quilted-lined Christmas stockings, pillows, and special pillow cases.
2008 was a big year for us, we partnered with BJs and added the Framingham Police Christmas Collection Drive to our list of recipients. It was announced that that we have a data base of 2231 names, with 895 being knitters, crocheters and quilters and donated 6,260 items to Children no questions asked. We have an Arizona chapter with 35 knitters and donate roughly 250 to 300 items.
